Custom Cabinetry and Millwork by ARKA Cabinets
This custom home on Oregon coast is very special. Nothing here is trendy for the sake of trends; everything is intentional, refined, and reflect a classy taste of it’s owners.
From the tiles to the light fixtures and, of course, the cabinetry — every detail has been thoughtfully curated. The common thread throughout the home is rift-sawn white oak, a material known for its subtle linear grain and sophistication. ARKA Cabinets designed and built all of the custom cabinetry and millwork, creating a seamless flow between spaces and tying the home together in perfect harmony.
The Kitchen: Compact, Smart, and Stunning
The kitchen may not be large, but it is loaded with innovation. The cabinetry combines rift-sawn white oak with smooth painted finishes, and the island features a slatted wall detail — a motif that repeats throughout the home, creating visual rhythm and cohesion.
At first glance, you might notice something missing: no visible handles or knobs. That’s by design. Every door has a push-to-open mechanism and every drawer opens with a soft touch, thanks to Servo-Drive technology — a hallmark of modern luxury that enhances both function and aesthetics.

This kitchen also features a Sub-Zero refrigerator with a clever pull-out cabinet above, providing extra storage that’s as accessible as effective to store rarely used items. Appliances are hidden behind the lift-up door, powered by Aventos lift-up mechanisms by Blum — one of the finest systems on the market.

Naturally, all the essentials are here: spice pull-outs, utensil organizers, knife dividers, and custom inserts for cookware. But what makes this space truly remarkable is the absence of upper cabinets. Instead, plates, cups, and even cast-iron pans are neatly stored in heavy-duty drawers with peg systems, making everything accessible and organized.

Living Room: Minimalist Warmth
In the living area, simplicity reigns. Floating shelves and a slatted wood backdrop for the TV bring warmth and texture to the space without overpowering the coastal calm of the interior. Even the window sills were custom-built by ARKA to blend with the rest of the millwork — small details that make the design feel truly cohesive.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms: Less is More
The bedrooms are another highlight. ARKA designed the custom headboards from rift-sawn white oak, incorporating built-in lighting and space to keep a book or small essentials within reach. The result feels both tailored and personal — a perfect reflection of the homeowners’ lifestyle.

Bathrooms throughout the home stray from the traditional vanity setup. Instead, each features thick floating shelves crafted from the same oak, designed to hold neatly rolled towels and curated accessories. Every shelf is equipped with integrated motion-activated lighting. Every time you walk-in, it will turn on the lighging under the shelves.

Laundry Room: Function & Form
The laundry room continues the same level of craftsmanship and thoughtful design. The floor-to-ceiling cabinetry offers abundant storage, including a built-in hamper and an organizer for detergents and cleaning supplies. Each drawer, once again, operates with Servo-Drive technology, ensuring a seamless user experience. What’s often a purely functional space has been elevated into something very technological and luxurious.
